Kanoon News Report on the Iranpenex and Irantoyex 2025 Exhibitions

Hamed Alamati, CEO of KANOON, emphasized the importance of supporting private-sector capabilities in the stationery and toy industries. At the Iranpenex and Irantoyex 2025 opening ceremony, he highlighted exhibitions as platforms for learning, collaboration, and industry development, and unveiled KANOON’s new environmental education game, “Become an Environmental Ranger,” for children over eight.

KANOON’s Approach to Exhibitions: Identifying Capabilities and Supporting Them

Hamed Alamati, CEO of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (KANOON), said at the opening ceremony of the 10th Iranpenex International Specialized Stationery Exhibition 2025 and the 4th Irantoyex Specialized Toy and Related Industries Exhibition 2025 that KANOON’s objective in participating in the exhibition is to identify the capabilities and potential of this sector and support them.

According to the KANOON Public Relations and International Affairs Department, Alamati expressed his satisfaction with attending the exhibition and said that this year has been designated as a year of investment in production. He emphasized that every initiative capable of strengthening production, action, and cooperation should undoubtedly be appreciated.

He continued: “Production is the beating heart of economic activity, and without production, the economy has no meaning. When production takes place in the fields of culture and art and in sectors such as these, its significance becomes even greater. This exhibition is a reflection of that field.”

The CEO of KANOON also noted that an exhibition is a place to present capabilities, compare today’s achievements with those of the past, define joint projects, and pursue new objectives for future exhibitions.

KANOON’s Approach to Exhibitions Is to Identify Capabilities and Support Them

Alamati further explained that KANOON believes it should not take over activities itself. As a major cultural institution active in the field of children and adolescents, KANOON should instead remove obstacles for the private sector.

He added that KANOON should facilitate and accelerate development while allowing private companies and startup groups to demonstrate their capabilities. He compared this approach to KANOON’s efforts in the film industry to provide opportunities for first-time directors to grow and develop.

Referring to KANOON’s support for cultural products for children and adolescents, Alamati said that the same approach should be applied to production sectors such as toys and stationery. The private sector should bring ideas and investment, while KANOON and similar institutions provide support and ultimately make use of the resulting products.

The KANOON CEO also emphasized that exhibitions should be viewed as spaces for learning and education. He explained that the traditional view considers an exhibition to have three elements: booths, products, and visitors. In the modern view, however, an exhibition is a form of integrated media and a participatory learning environment.

He also stressed the need to pay special attention to adolescents at exhibitions, noting that exhibitions are often either child-oriented or designed for adults, while adolescents, as an important middle age group, are frequently overlooked.

KANOON Unveils New “Become an Environmental Ranger” Toy

In the final part of his remarks, Alamati referred to KANOON’s new product, stating that the organization was unveiling a new toy called “Become an Environmental Ranger” at the same time as the exhibition. The game focuses on environmental issues and can serve as a positive initiative for the exhibition.

He explained that KANOON’s mission is not merely to entertain Iranian children, but also to raise them to be informed and responsible individuals. He described this as a key responsibility in the field of games and toy production across the country.

Alamati added that the game is designed for children over the age of eight and provides an opportunity for them to become familiar with and interact with the environment and various endangered animal species.

He stated that such games are part of forward-looking governance in education and upbringing, helping connect school and home—two important educational environments—with nature.
